Photo 21: Most rock circles are located near the edge of the rim rock, this one is easier to see because it is in the middle of a draw.

Photo 22: This is a dense lithic scatter dominated by obsidian. Other rock types found in lithic scatters include siltstone, jasper, fine grained basalt, quartzite, and opalized chert.

Photo 23: These large currant plants at 35ML1044 are growing at the base of the rim rock and next to a panel with petroglyphs. Currents commonly grow in the deeper soil at the base of rim rock.

Photo 24: The bunchgrass in the foreground is basin wildrye. It grows in deep soil at the base of rim rock. The small seeds of this plant are edible.

Photo 25: Basin wild rye also grows around boulders where the soil is deep. It is the tall grass in this photograph.
